St Mary's School

The children are at the heart of everything we do.

The School Council met this week. We had two visitors, Andrew and Georgia Wedgwood-Mayne, from the Churches Bookshop in Douglas. They brought with them some fantastic books. The SC selected their 'top ten' which will be displayed in the front entrance and read during assemblies. Many thanks to Mrs Molloy, from the friends committee, who came too and purchased the books for the school. Also, the children from the SC picked out some new crosses, which will be put up in the new classrooms. The crosses picked are all hand painted and fair trade. They are going to look amazing in the new building and hall. Many thanks to all our visitors. Andrew and Georgia will be visiting again soon to do an assembly for the children in Key Stage 2. If you have never visited the Churches Bookshop it is a hidden gem full of wonderful books and gifts!
