Last week St. Mary's were lucky enough to have local author and illustrator Vikki Orwin come to school. Vikki is the author and illustrator of the successful Jet Malew series.
Vicki read to both Key Stage 1 and KS2. Vikki read her latest book Jet Malew and the Secret Cave. Ks1 sat quietly and listened to the story and afterwards Vikki answered questions about the characters but also asked the children to come up with possible future adventures for Jet Malew.
Ks2 listened and played memory games using Jet Malew's little house. We discovered KS2 have great memories and loved the opportunity to meet characters such as Pincer Peel, Willaston Wallaby and Muscles Marown.
Vikki has kindly donated a prize for our Winter Fayre so please come along On Friday 1st December 6-8pm. Jet Malew adventures will also be on sale.
