St Mary's Eco Club is made up of volunteers from KS2. We meet once a week on a Tuesday in Miss Strathdee's classroom.

This Year we are working towards achieving the Eco Schools Green Flag. Take a look at what we've been up to.

Bank Trip

Eco Club went to the bank to deposit the money they raised from the Fair-trade tuck shop. Along the way they stopped off at the chippy.

Bug Hotel

As part of our biodiversity work Eco Club have built a bug hotel to provide a safe habitat for bugs and other wildlife. Thank you to everyone who brought in materials and to Beth at Manx Wildlife Trust.

Fair-trade Tuck Shop

We celebrated Fair-trade fortnight by holding and assembly for KS1 and an assembly for KS2 explaining the impacts and benefits buying fair-trade products can have. Hedgehog Tunnel

We were asked by Manx Wildlife Trust to have a Hedgehog tunnel in our school to see if any hedgehogs are living in our school area. We haven't found any yet but we will continue to monitor it.
