This morning the STEM club went with Miss Strathdee and Mrs Quinn to the Family Library to take part in a Lego building and coding workshop with the RAF.
The children worked in groups of 3 to create a robot to help bring aid to people following a natural disaster. All groups showed great creativity in their designs! They then learnt how to code them in preparation for a race against the other teams.
All St Mary's Robots did well with 2 making the final, one as the winner of their heat and the other as a special entry as it went in the wrong direction in the first race.
In the final the team who were the special entry were the winners with the other St.Mary's team coming a close second.
Well done to all the STEM club!
