We're now over half way into our create project and we've created some amazing pieces of artwork! We'd like to share these with you at home.
Today we were lucky enough to have a member of the FC Isle of Man team come and coach us for an hour. We worked on our team work skills, passing and kicking and strategising. What an amazing opportunity for our lovely Year 4s!
Today we celebrated the Manx tradition of Hop Tu Naa by designing our own turnip, singing Hop Tu Naa songs and dancing the Hop Tu Naa dance. We had so much fun and were so impressed at how quickly the children picked it up.
This week, we had our Isle Listen workshop which focused on Happiness. We all completed our own hearts to show what make each of us happy. ur Isle Liste
Today, we were very lucky to of had Holly in from Isle Listen. Holly will be visiting us throughout this year to talk about mental health.
Today we were visited by the lovely Beth and Holly from Isle Listen! We spoke about 'keeping it chill' hence the Snowmen! We discussed strategies we can use when we're feeling down to help give us a little boost.
This week, we were delighted to welcome our special guest, Mr Mason (Alejandro and Sofia’s dad!). He visited our class to lead a fantastic printing workshop, sharing his specialist high school expertise with us. The children had a wonderful time exploring new skills and creating their own artwork.…
We had the best time at Rock Kidz on Friday. We learnt a song about kindness, rocked out and best of all, watched our teacher win the dance battle! Rock kidz reminded us that no one should be left out and we should live kindness every day.
On Friday, we spent some time in our wonderful school library. This is a brilliant resource available to us to use to develop our joy of reading, it helps that there are some really cosy reading nooks too!
We have been looking at sound over the past few weeks. Today we made cup phones to really discover how we can hear the sound.
For our final create project, we designed and created our very own tote bags! We put a lot of thought into how we could represent our identity, creativity and individuality while also using mono and Lino prints. We love our new bags and are so proud to of created them ourselves.
Welcome back, Year 4! We’re so excited to see all your smiling faces ready to start a brand new school year. This year is going to be full of fun and new learning. Let’s work together, try our best, and make it the best year yet.
