St Mary's School

The children are at the heart of everything we do.

Today, St Agatha Class were incredibly lucky to welcome a member of the local St John Ambulance team, who spent the full day teaching us about the importance of first aid and the practical skills involved. We learned how to treat burns, asthma symptoms, fainting, cuts, and bruises — and, most importantly, how to perform CPR. A big well done to Year 6, who showed great readiness and willingness to listen and learn throughout the session.

And of course a big thank you to Mrs Gill for taking her time to come in and teach us this important life lesson!
