Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Gaiety Theatre this morning!
Our pupils were treated to an engaging and informative tour—thank you to our wonderful guide, Kim—who brought the theatre’s rich history to life.
The children were especially excited to explore backstage, where they discovered the original Victorian stage mechanisms and saw firsthand how the famous trap doors work. They also learned about the fascinating differences between the experiences of wealthy and poorer audience members during the Victorian era, including where each group would have sat in the theatre.
It was a brilliant morning of learning and discovery, and Year 3 are already looking forward to sharing more of what they’ve learned at our Victorian Video Showing in March!
