As part of our project, we carried out geographical sketching activities that incorporated key labelling and subject-specific vocabulary based on pupils’ first-hand observations. We went outside the school grounds and allocated a set period of time for everyone to carefully observe their surroundings and produce annotated sketches of the chosen location.
