This afternoon, we went on our first school trip of the year to the Isle of Man Art Society.
As it is very close to school, we walked there and back. When we arrived we were given a template for a face and a ball of clay. We used the clay to create a portrait of ourselves, we included lots of detail such as glasses and eye lashes. The ladies at the Art Society will put the portraits in a kiln and return them to us for painting.
This trip is part of our Create project 'Is it better to stand out or fit in?' where we are focusing on portraits.
We had a great time and would like to thank Mrs Pitts, the parents who came with us and the Isle of Man Art Society for allowing us to visit. The children are already asking when we can visit next!
Take a look at some of our photos.
