Year 6 recently enjoyed a special visit to St Mary’s RC Cathedral in Douglas, where they met Father Phillip and learned about the Stations of the Cross. As they walked around the cathedral, the children took time to carefully observe the artwork that represents each station and listened thoughtfully as Father Phillip explained their meaning and importance. The visit helped deepen the pupils’ understanding of this important part of the Christian story. The children were extremely respectful throughout, showing excellent behaviour and curiosity. It was a memorable experience that brought their learning to life and allowed them to appreciate the history, faith, and beautiful art within the cathedral.
