Last Monday, the whole school took part in a special day focusing on the Rights of the Child. In St George, our focus was the right to education and learning.
We began our day with a discussion the United Nations Rights for the child, zooming in on our right and what we already know about access to education around the world.
Throughout the morning, we explored different situations within the world where children may not have the chance to go to school. The children worked together in groups to create a 'Dragon's Den' style pitch with a solution to support the children affected.
We finished the day, try designing our own 'perfect' school.
