We were so excited to be back at school after the Christmas holidays, and what a fantastic week of learning we’ve had!
Our challenges this week were all linked to the story of The Three Little Pigs:
- Maths Challenge: We worked hard on making numbers using ten frames – great counting and number recognition skills!
- Writing Challenge: We practised writing some CVC words.
- Creative Challenge: We made amazing wolf masks and little pig masks – they looked fantastic!
- Construction Challenge: We built the pigs’ houses out of sticks, straw, and bricks – just like in the story.
- Play Dough: We used our fine motor skills to make our very own little pigs.
- Fine Motor Challenge: We created a cut-and-stick story map to retell the story.
- Tuff Tray: We had so much fun retelling the story using props – acting out the pigs and the big bad wolf!
It’s been a brilliant start to the new term, and we can’t wait for more exciting learning next week!
