St Philomena had a fantastic day for World Book Day this week!
We started our day with a fabulous whole-school story from a koala (Mr Rotchell!), before redesigning the front covers of our favourite books and creating some beautiful bookmarks.
In the library, we worked in groups in a big book scavenger hunt, locating a range of characters, ideas and endings in our huge selection of books. Well done to our fantastic winners!
After lunch, we had a book share, where we each took a turn to share our favourite book with the whole-class! St Philomena discussed their favourite genres of books, and we made recommendations to our friends for books they may enjoy. This was a great way to take time for talking about our shared love of books!
