Today we explored how an object changes from transparent to translucent. We made a lantern using a plastic cup and tissue paper. The plastic cup was transparent because we could see through it clearly. When we added tissue paper, it became translucent, which means some light can still pass through, but we can’t see clearly anymore. Finally, we lit our lanterns with tea-lights and watched them glow!
