This week we had a special visitor. PC Lou arrived in our class and she told us she was very impressed with the work we were doing.
After break she came back and told us all about her job as a police officer. She was really happy when Kian was able to tell her that Police officers are there to keep us safe, not just to catch "the baddies!".
PC Lou then showed different parts of her uniform and showed us how her radio worked, we even got to hear her colleagues talking to each other.
She explained why some of the uniform was a vert bright yellow ( to be easily seen and be reflective at night).
We then were able to take turns trying on different jackets, vests and hats/helmets.
The highlight of the visit was getting to sit inside the police van, we actually managed to get all 20 of us into it at one go!!!
