This week, we’ve started our exciting Rainbow Challenges in each area of our classroom. The children have loved exploring and completing different activities to earn their rainbow colors!
Here’s what we’ve been working on:
- Maths Challenge: Create a repeating pattern using different objects.
- Writing Challenge: Draw a patient and label it using initial sounds.
- Creative Area: Design your own nurse or doctor’s badge with your name and picture.
- Role Play: Step into the world of doctors and care for patients in our surgery.
- Tuff Tray: Organise objects into groups based on their sounds.
- Play Dough: Make different body parts and think about what they do.
Our focus this week has been on doctors and nurses—learning how they look after us and keep us healthy.
Our Book of the Week was “Going to the Doctors”, which helped us understand what happens during a visit and why it’s important.
We also had a very special moment—our first visit to the school library! The children were so excited to explore the shelves and choose books. Starting this week, we’ll begin taking home library books to share and enjoy together at home.
We’ve been doing lots of reading for pleasure, and it’s wonderful to see the children developing a love for books!
