We have enjoyed a fantastic Zog‑themed week in EYFS.
Writing: The children wrote captions for different pages of Zog, using their phonics to describe what was happening in the story.
Maths: We counted and sorted dragons up to 20 and compared groups using “more” and “fewer.”
Creative: The children explored tone and shade while creating vibrant fire pictures in red, orange, and yellow.
Construction: Using blocks and loose parts, the children designed and built an obstacle course for Zog to practise his dragon skills.
Role Play: Our role‑play area became Zog and the Flying Doctors, inspiring imaginative play and caring for “patients.”
Library Trip: We had a wonderful visit to the library on Friday. The children took part in crafts, joined in with songs, listened to stories, and used puppets to retell their favourite parts. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
