In R.E. this week, we have been learning about Pentecost, a special time in the Christian calendar when the Holy Spirit came to the apostles. We talked about how the apostles felt brave and ready to share their message with others after receiving the Holy Spirit.
To help us understand this symbol, we explored the idea of the dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The children enjoyed creating their own doves using paper plates.
Through this learning, the children reflected on how we can show kindness, peace and bravery in our own lives, just like the apostles did.
