Before half term, we had another fantastic week in Reception as we continued our learning around Our Island.
Our story of the week was The Fairy Bridge, which inspired lots of magical learning opportunities throughout the classroom.
In maths, the children practised counting and ordering objects to 20 using fairies, motorbikes and beanbags to make our learning fun and interactive.
For our writing challenge, the children designed their own fairy and wrote descriptions about them. We loved hearing all about their imaginative ideas and magical powers.
During our creative challenge, the children designed and created their own fairy doors or TT motorbikes, showing great creativity and care.
In construction, the children worked together to build TT race tracks and enjoyed creating exciting racing routes.
Our role play area became a busy newsroom, where the children acted as TT reporters, sharing race updates and announcing results.
Our tuff tray activity focused on letter formation, helping the children practise forming their letters correctly through hands-on learning.
We also celebrated World Bee Day by drawing pictures of bees and flowers to help spread awareness about the importance of saving the bees.
To end a wonderful week before half term, we were very lucky to meet famous TT racer Peter Hickman. The children were so excited and loved this very special visit.
Well done Reception for another brilliant week of learning and fun!
